Christian Everett - Classical (and Electric) Guitarist
Christian has played the guitar since the age of 9 and started performing around Kent, England with his school band, he then went on to study a BTec National Diploma in popular music - this was a full time course for two years and he passed with distinctions. Simultaneous to this he studied and passed with flying colours a Grade 5 Music Theory course with the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music. Christian then took time out to travel the world. In 2006 Christian formed the popular Kent based rock and blues band JumpJetz and gigged successfully round Kent, Surrey, Essex, Sussex and London ever since.
Solo Classical Guitar career:
In June 2009 Christian embarked upon his solo classical career playing a mixture of his original 'alternative classical' compositions and known classical pieces. Having wowed audiences at prestigious events such as the MBC Strawberry Lunch, Christian is now available for solo classical gigs (restaurants, weddings etc.) throughout the South East of England.
Classical CD:
Christian is currently in the studio recording his debut classical guitar album entitled 'Lomer Cottages'. The inpsiration for the title comes from the house where he lived as a child. This album is an eclectic mix of Christian's alternative sounding original compositions encompassing strange time signatures, alternative techniques, alternative tunings and wild dynamics.
The near future:
Over the coming months Christian will be promoting his new classical guitar CD and solo classical performances. Additionally he will draw together a new bigger and better rock & blues band with his original music and tight and exciting renditions of known masterpieces.
What someone else once said!:
Christian has a certain flair with the guitar that many musicians dream of having; blessed with a great natural ability and feel for the song he is playing. Though he will say years of work made him the way he is, you just cannot be but amazed at his ability to play the guitar in a number of styles like the flamenco section on 'Lomer Cottages'. If you see him play, watch how quickly he switches from playing full balls out solos with his pick to bringing the mood right back with the most amazing fret work and finger picking.
