Christoph Denoth was born in Basel, Switzerland, and studied Classical Guitar at the music academies of Lucerne, Basel, and Zurich. Christoph Denoth is an internationally active guitar soloist. He regularly performs as a soloist with different chamber orchestras and ensembles and at international music festivals. He also performed as a soloist at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Berlin Philharmonic Hall. Christoph endeavours to expand the tonal and dynamic range of today's concert guitar and bring it to the attention of a larger audience.Currently, Christoph is Musician-in-Residence at Balliol College at the University of Oxford. He is the first Swiss musician to be appointed to this position.
Christoph Denoth performs all over the world, most recently in Berlin, New York, Zurich, London, and Oxford. His next album will be released in 2009.
