Welcome to Dilettante's Digital Composer-in-Residence profile, where we'll keep you up-to-date with the latest news and happenings with the Digital Composer-in-Residence Project.
The project begins with the search for the world's first Digital Composer-in-Residence
We've enlisted the help of a panel of judges who will shortlist three works; we'll then record the works and put them up on the site for you to decide the winner by voting for your favourite piece. The winner will be announced live at a concert at Wilton's Music Hall in London on the 5th November 09.

A Digital Residency
The winner of the competition will receive the the Digital Composer-in-Residence Award, worth £1000, and a year-long digital residency on the Dilettante website, including a Composer's corner blog on the homepage. There will also be a series of online events where you can get to know the winner and their music.

Instead of Guy Fawkes, on the 5th November Dilettante are celebrating contemporary music and new composers at the Digital Composer-in-Residence Concert.
The first exclusive play of the three finalists' pieces was on BBC Radio 3's Music Matters show this Saturday.
The judges have chosen their three finalists, the London Sinfonietta have been busily practicing away and now it's off to the The Forge in Camden this week to record the finalists' pieces in preper
