Eric Henderson has been touching souls for many years with his unique ability to communicate through his guitar. Since he first picked up the instrument at the age of six, it was clear that Eric had a calling.
At thirteen Eric had the opportunity to play for the master guitarist, Andres Segovia, while he was in Los Angeles for a concert. As a result, Segovia invited Eric to study with him in Madrid, Spain, making Eric one of only three people to ever study privately with the Maestro.
During his four years of study in Spain, Eric also had the opportunity to study with Aureo Herrero, Ernesto Bitetti, Emilio Pujol and also with the great composer Federido Moreno Torroba. Having logged ten European and nine U.S. tours as well as a tour of Russia and Japan, Eric returned to his hometown of Laguna Beach, CA where he resides with his wife, Prof. Virginia Mann.
When not performing, he spends his time composing, teaching and contributing to the development of new techniques for the guitar.Eric has recorded numerous albums for several major labels including JVC and MCA as well as other independent labels. These projects feature standard repertoire for classical guitar as well as Eric’s transcriptions, arrangements and compositions.
