John D. Kuvinka is an American-born pianist, conductor, and composer. He began playing the organ at the age of five and later moved on to study piano privately with professional instructors. Kuvinka has studied conducting materials from Oxford and Cambridge, and has been taught composition from the works of Fux, Schoenberg, Tovey, and materials from Berklee College of Music. Aside from composing Kuvinka gives private lessons in music theory, conducting, and piano.
