The London Sinfonietta is a collective of musicians passionate about perfoming and creating the best new music in the world. We're also fervent about sharing that with our audience.
It has a reputation as one of the best groups performing the music of composers such as Ligeti, Steve Reich, Berio, John Cage, Harrison Birtwistle, Stockhausen, Xenakis, John Adams and many younger composers from the UK, Europe and elsewhere.
We regularly work with artists across artistic boundaries; recent collaborators have included Warp Records artists Squarepusher and Mira Calix, Jonny Greenwood (from Radiohead) and choreographer Akram Khan.
The London Sinfonietta is resident at Southbank Centre, London and performs with the support of Arts Council England.
