Matthew Kenneth Gray (aka Matt) from Watsonville, CA; now Normal, IL, has been writing songs since he was a Senior at Watsonville High School. He started collaborating with close friends, particularly Phillip Harrington, who has been his co-writer for over 20 years. It has been said the lighter the personality, the more serious the work. This has not always been the case for Matt, however many of his lyrics are of a very serious/bittersweet tone. He also has a lot of jovial, happy material such as songs written with Anthony Fesmire of Palm Desert, CA; Barbara Lopez of Santa Cruz, CA and a single song written with the ever popular and prolific Lisa Aschmann of Nashville, TN.
