Richard Ozanne a visual artist began to study piano at a young age under the tutilage of his parents. As a child he was emersed in the world of classical music partially because of his parents Ozan Marsh and Patricia Benkman who were exponents of some of the greatest known pianists of the 19th and 20th centuries. As an addition to his art he has pursued interests in music. In 1978 he entered the University of Arizona towards a degree in music which was overshadowed by his love of art. He graduated in 1982 with a BFA (In the visual arts)at the University of Arizona, later his MFA at Arizona State Universtiy after 4 years of intensive study in New York as well as completion of his Ph.D doctorate in Europe.

Richard Ozanne plays privately and periodicly in concert. He has played across the country, in Europe and Asia. Some of his favorite composers are:
John Fields,Hummel, Franz Liszt, Fredrich Chopin, Sergi Rachmaninoff, Alexander Scriabin, Bela Bartok ,Samuel Barber, Rodion Schedrin and many others.
