Biography:

I've been playing the piano since I was about six or seven, then just picked up other instruments on the way. I've got Grade 8 piano and flute but my favourite instrument to play has always been the violin because I love being part of a string section in an orchestra.

I studied music at Sheffield University and recently finished a Masters in Arts Administration and Cultural Policy at Goldsmiths. I've never been interested in being a solo performer and concentrated my time at University on studying the theraputic benefits of music - I wrote my dissertation on how singing in amateur choirs can improve people's quality of life - but my real passion was/still is music in Paris around the 1900's, as well as spreading the word about Dilettante.

I joined an amateur orchestra in Harrow (London) last year which I'm really enjoying. Also I've recently aquired a cello which I keep meaning to start having lessons on, and quite fancy getting a viola...
